    KERIPIK TALAS
    Untuk lebih kurang 750 gr
    Bahan:
    • 750 g ubi talas, bersihkan
    • 1 sdm garam
    • 800 cc minyak untuk menggoreng
    • Air kapur sirih

    Cara membuat:

    1. Iris ubi talas tipis-tipis melebar. Lumuri garam agar tidak menyebabkan gatal di lidah, bilas dengan air bersih. Ulangi 3-4 kali, hingga talas tidak terasa licin. Porong-potong ukuran 5 cmX0,5 cmX0,5 cm. Rendam dalam air kapur yang sudah dicampur dengan 1 sdm garam lebih kurang 30 menit.
    2. Panaskan minyak, goreng ubi talas segenggam-segenggam sampai matang dan kering. Angkat dan tiriskan.

    TARO CRISPIES

    Makes approximately 750 gr

    Ingredients:

    • 750 gr taro tubers, cleaned 2 tbs salt
    • 800 cc oil for frying
    • lime paste solution

    Method:

    1. Slice the taro into thin circles. Sprinkle with 1 tbs of salt, then rinse with clean water. Repeat 3 or 4 times until the taro doesn't feels slippery. Cut into shapes of 5 cmX0,5 cmX0,5 cm. Soak in lime paste solution mixed with a tablespoonful of salt for about 30 minutes.
    2. Heat the oil and fry handfuls of taro until crisp. Remove and drain.
