KACANG TOJIN
Untuk lebih kurang 1000 gr
Bahan:
- 1 kg kacang tanah
- 1 sdt garam
- 1000 cc minyak goreng
- 4 sdm bawang merah goreng
- 4 sdm seledri cincang
- (3 sdm ebi, sangrai
- 1 sdt garam) haluskan
Cara membuat:
- Seduh kacang dengan 1500 cc air mendidih, rendam sebentar selama lebih kurang 5 menit agar kulitnya melunak, tiriskan. Kupas kulit kacang, cuci bersih, tiriskan. Beri garam, aduk rata. Panaskan minyak, goreng kacang hingga matang, tiriskan.
- Panas-panas beri bawang goreng, daun seledri, dan ebi tumbuk. Aduk rata, dinginkan.
- Setelah kacang dingin, simpan dalam stoples.

ONION PEANUTS
Makes approximately 1000 gr
Ingredients:
- 1 Kg peanuts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1000 cc oil for frying
- 4 tbs red onions, sliced and fried
- 4 tbs small celery, minced
- (3 tbs dried shrimp, braised
- 1 tbs salt) ground
Method
- Soak peanuts in 1500 cc of boiling water for about 5 minutes to soften skin. Remove the skin, wash and drain. Add salt, mix well. Heat the oil then fry the peanuts until done. Remove and drain.
- While still hot, add fried onions, minced celery and ground dried shrimp. Mix well and let cool.
- When cool, store in an air tight jar.

This is a traditional snack from Siboga, North Sumatra.
