    EMPING MELINJO MANIS
    Untuk lebih kurang 400 gr

    Bahan:
    • 200 gr emping melinjo
    • 150 gr gula pasir
    • 50 gr gula merah
    • 100 cc air
    • 3 siung bawang putih, haluskan
    • 1 sdm air asam
    • 1 sdt garam
    • 750 cc minyak untuk menggoreng

    Cara membuat:

    1. Panaskan minyak, goreng emping sampai matang. Angkat, tiriskan. Sisihkan.

    3. Jika ingin emping dengan rasa manis pedas, tambahkan 1 sendok makan cabai giling dalam campuran bumbunya.

    SWEET MELINJO CHIPS

    Makes approximately 400 gr

    Ingredients:

    • 200 gr melinjo chips
    • 150 gr granulated sugar
    • 50 gr brown sugar
    • 100 cc water
    • 3 cloves of onion, ground
    • 1 tbs tamarined water
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 750 cc oil for frying

    Method:

    1. Heat the oil, fry the chips until done. Lift and drain. Set aside.
    2. Mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, water, ground onions and salt, then cook over a small flame. Stir until the sugar melts, blends with the other ingredients, becomes hairy and thick. Pour in 5 or 6 chips, smoothen the sugar coating, lift and place one by one on a winnowing tray. Let the sugar coating dry. Repeat this step with the rest of the chip. Place the chips in an airtight container.

    Note:

    1. Do not insert the chips all at once into the sugar in the wokover the flame, so that the sugar can evenly coat all the chips.
    2. Place the sugar coated chips one by one on the winnowing tray so that they do not stick to each other.
    3. If you would like sweet and spicy chips, add 1 tablespoon of ground chilli to the sugar mixture.
